Christopher Carlson, D.M.D, M.S.

Dr. Carlson’s practice is limited to Orthodontics.  He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a D.M.D. from the School of Dental Medicine at Southern Illinois University. He graduated at the top of his dental class and was distinguished by the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, the highest honor society among dentists. Dr. Carlson completed his additional two year residency and received his M.S. in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa Dental School in Iowa City.

Dr. Carlson is an active member of both the American Association of Orthodontists and the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists.  He is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Minnesota Dental Association and serves on several local and state committees.  Dr. Carlson has also taken the extra steps to become a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Carlson is committed to providing the highest quality care in a professional and relaxing atmosphere. He enjoys interacting with patients, using his knowledge from both engineering and dentistry to improve their self-esteem and lives through their smiles.

Dr. Carlson is a native of Ironwood, Michigan and moved back to the area to take advantage of the numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation such as biking and skiing. He also is an aviation enthusiast and flies a small plane for pleasure.  He resides in Duluth with his wife, Amy, and their two young children, Lauren and Erik.
